I screwed up a lot...as a kid in my home life, I was a mess most of the time. Nobody really knew it, except maybe my mom but my mom never said anything. She never asked me if I was ok or if I needed anything.
As an adult with my own children, I screwed up a lot. I parented through my own baggage and trauma from childhood. I didn't want to and I didn't know how not to.
I was blessed to work at The Montessori Center in Austin, Texas, where I was introduced to a different way of speaking to children. I was introduced to a different way to interact with people in my world and I started to want to be more like the people I met there.
Fast forward to 2017 and I attended my first NLP weekend. I was hooked! I wanted to know more about how I could use this in my own life and also teach others and create healing for them as well.
What I realized in going through all my trainings is that I kept using examples and contexts for these techniques as if I was using them with children. Everything about NLP spoke to me as if I was using it with a child. That's when I realized that I was going to use all that I had learned to empower parents and teachers of children with the tools and techniques of NLP so that they could use them with their children who would then model them for their children and so on and so on.
